Privacy
This site collects as little as it can. It sets no cookies and doesn’t follow you across the web. We count visits anonymously, and otherwise the only personal data we receive is what you send us through the contact form or by email, and your email address if you sign up for updates. This page explains what happens to it.
Who is responsible
Meso Manufacturing is responsible for the personal data described here. We are a company being set up in Trondheim, Norway, and not yet registered. When we are, this page will name the registered company.
For anything about your data, write to contact@mesomanufacturing.com.
What we collect
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, your company if you give it, and your message. When you email us directly, we receive whatever the email contains.
When you sign up for updates, we receive your email address. It is added to our list only when you confirm it, using the link we email you; if you don’t, it isn’t kept.
To see how the site is used, we count page views with Vercel Web Analytics: which pages are visited, the site you came from, and your country, device type and browser. Visitors aren’t identified. The service tells visits apart with a code derived from the request, which changes every day and can’t be used to follow you over time or to other sites.
Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages record technical information about requests, such as IP addresses and browser type. These logs are kept briefly and used only to keep the site running and secure.
Why we use it
We use your details to read your enquiry and reply to you, and to follow up if the conversation continues. We don’t use them for marketing, don’t add you to our mailing list unless you sign up yourself, and never sell them. The only others who handle them are the service providers listed below.
Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us (GDPR article 6(1)(f)). If you contact us about a project or a pilot, it is also to take steps you have asked for before a possible agreement (article 6(1)(b)).
If you sign up for updates, we use your email address to send them: a few emails a year about milestones, pilot openings and certification. Our legal basis is your consent (article 6(1)(a)), which you give by confirming your address. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by writing to us.
We use the visit statistics to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site, which is also a legitimate interest. They are only ever seen as totals, never tied to a person.
Who handles it for us
A few service providers process data on our behalf, only on our instructions:
- Vercel, which hosts this website, runs the contact form and provides the visit statistics.
- Resend, which delivers messages from the contact form to our inbox from its data centre in Ireland, keeps our list of subscribers and sends our updates.
- Google Workspace, which hosts our email.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where your data may leave the EU and EEA, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the Data Privacy Framework between the EU and the US, or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to follow up. If it leads to work together, it becomes part of that customer relationship and is kept as long as the agreement and accounting rules require. Enquiries that don’t lead anywhere are deleted no later than 24 months after our last contact.
If you sign up for updates, we keep your address until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only the record that you unsubscribed, so that you don’t get our updates again; if you would rather we delete that too, write to us.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy of it. Write to contact@mesomanufacturing.com and we’ll answer within a month.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no). We’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies, and the visit statistics store nothing in your browser. That is why you don’t see a cookie banner.
